“Reimport technique succeeded oversea”


Our company is one of members of FOOMA (The Japan Food Machinery Manufacture’s Association) and has been joining FOOMA since starting in 1948. We have exhibited FOOMA exhibition for 37years since the first time. I took a position of director in FOOMA 14 years ago. During that time, I worked as a director of youth section and a chairman of national department. I have been working as an observer since this years to keep our company's business in equilibrium thinking of making the most of our plentiful actual trades, experiences, knowledge and know-how for FOOMA's globalization, which we cultivated over many years. If I have an opportunity again, I would like to contribute my efforts to FOOMA directly.

Our sales for the first half year totals 2 billion yen. The ratio is oversea 7 : domestic 3. It means the overseas weight is increasing year by year. Our target of this term ( the latter half year) is 2.1-2.2 billion yen, however, we are a little forced to engage in a bitterly fought struggle at the second quarter of this year. The reason is that overseas orders are behind the schedule and especially slowing down. Nevertheless, we would like to manage to clear the sales of the first half year.

In the meanwhile, as for the domestic business, we would like to help existing users and provide them with after-sales service as a trend to invest in plants and equipment reaches a peak gradually by effectiveness of Abenomics. The current domestic population in Japan is scheduled tentatively to decrease from 125million to 100million in 2050. As it is obvious that the amount of foods will diminish, we will to overseas matters. As we know to unable to disregard the domestic market, I face a dilemma it is difficult to demonstrate manpower as points for reconsideration by myself. I consider it is possible to establish cooperative organization with a food maker whose domestic ratio is high in the future.


The sales in 2013 of foods machinery is presented 442.8 billion, though 500 billion 10 years ago. Since 90% of the sales depend on domestic market and the market is shrinking, number of noodle makers is steadily decreasing. The whole food business world currently is in a period of transition. If the selection goes on as it is, the price competitiveness will decrease and if anything, I think the reasonable price will be able to be secured. Until then, it is important for food machine manufacture to find an overseas market. I believe to be able to take on the responsibility of a single bound for the development of a new hit product to activate the domestic market by giving feedback of the technique succeeded oversea and reimporting it.
